About

He is an enthusiastic young researcher in the area of fabrication of biomedical devices. He has explored fields of conventional and unconventional machining processes. He has carried out extensive work in micro-milling, electropolishing and femtosecond laser machining. He along with Prof. GL Samuel has devised a hybrid machining process for the fabrication of high quality portable polymeric microdevices used in the ultra purification of blood.

He works under the guidance of Dr Gl Samuel, Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering, IIT Madras. Prof. Samuel is a pioneer in the field of micromachining, metrology and smart manufacturing. Prof. Samuel heads the p-Centre of Excellence for Advanced Laser Material Processing (CLAMP). CLAMP has one of its kind laboratories for laser processing. The CoE is equipped with ultrafast pulsed lasers, continuous lasers and high-quality characterisation facilities.
